Vermont Fresh Network has a set of core programs that we manage as part of our listed Member Benefits and to serve Vermont's greater food and farm sector. These core programs are centered around networking, professional development and marketing (consumer and industry focused). Staff and Board actively look to collaborate with regional organizations, businesses, and public sector agencies to further develop partnerships that will benefit our members and support our mission. This is what we have going on behind the scenes as part of our statewide work in support of our members.
In addition to our Annual Meeting, which combines panel discussions networking opportunities, VFN hosts regional networking events for businesses and organizations to connect and build local partnerships.
Our Gold Barn Members go above and beyond to build partnerships with Vermont growers and producers by centering local, seasonal food products in their menus and business models.
From industry focused b2b marketing to public facing campaigns, there are many ways members can work with us to effectively market themselves and their products.
From our Annual Forum Dinner to statewide events like Open Farm Week, our public events, showcase the incredible talents of the Network and others in Vermont's food system with the public and local food staeholders.
Over the last 10 years, we have worked to improve Vermont farmers’ and food producers’ knowledge of how to use agritourism to strengthen customer relationships, resulting in greater product sales.
VFN seeks to develop and to increase the competitiveness of little known locally grown products and those which don't yet have a foothold in the market place. These special projects change from year to year.
We strive to maintain a library of tools and resources that are of value to our members and others in Vermont's food and farm sector. These range from webinars to marketing collateral to support documents.
