Vermont Fresh Network builds partnerships and connections among farms, restaurants, specialty food & beverage producers, agritourism providers, distributors, and other businesses in Vermont’s local food and farm system. We were founded in 1996 to connect farms and chefs throughout the state, and 28 years later our Network has grown to include cheesemakers, winemakers, brewers, maple sugar makers, hot sauce makers, pickle producers, cannabis growers, and so many more more.
Members of VFN benefit directly from our projects, programs, and resources that support sustainable economic development in Vermont’s rural communities and working landscape, and have the opportunity to connect with others in Vermont’s food system who are committed to supporting their local partners, being involved in their communities, and working together to grow, prepare, and eat more locally grown food. VFN works with regional organizations, businesses, and public sector agencies to further develop partnerships that benefit our members and support our sector.
Chefs, restaurants, kitchens, and cafeterias.
Farmers, growers, and agritourism providers.
Cheesemakers, winemakers, brewers, distillers, pickle-ers, and more.
Co-ops, food hubs, grocery stores, retailers, and distrubutors.
We have four primary categories of membership:
farm,
culinary, specialty producers, and
markets & distributors.
Our member benefits focus on marketing, networking, and professional development resources.
Many of our members fall into multiple categories - e.g., farms that also offer on-farm dinners or specialty food products, or a market or co-op that also has a deli counter or serves prepared foods. If you have a question about which category is the best fit for you and your business, email our membership & events manager Jessie at
jessie@vermontfresh.net and we’ll point you in the right direction!
In Vermont, all roads start at the farm. Locally grown and raised products are central to much of Vermont’s culinary scene, and on-farm adventures are quintessential Vermont experiences. Whether you want to expand your partnerships with local restaurants, connect directly with more people in your community, welcome visitors to your farm, or all of the above, VFN has resources and programs to support you.
