Behold, the annual Vermont Fresh Network's 2021 Local Turkey Finder featuring farms and markets throughout Vermont!

Take the mystery out of finding a turkey for your holiday menu and use our updated resource of Vermont farms, markets and co-ops near you.  Deadlines are fast approaching to reserve local birds! This is a year to be thankful. More of us will gather together. More of us will safely be out and about to purchase our holiday favorites to provide a delicious local meal. A good place to start? A fresh or frozen Vermont-raised bird. 

Northern Vermont Farms

Adams Turkey Farm, Westford - Adams offers fresh and frozen Vermont turkeys humanely raised on an all-vegetarian diet without antibiotics.

Breezy Acres Farm, Montgomery - Book early to reserve a fresh, pasture raised turkey! Breezy Acres is a also a great option for sourcing grass-fed beef and pork, sold frozen by the pound. Steaks, roasts, ribs, sausages, chops, bacon, ham, and more are available. Custom cuts require 30 days notice.

Hillside Farm/Pearce's Pastured Poultry, Albany -  Father and daughter team Bill and Hannah raise turkeys that are free from hormones and antibiotics, are fed non-GMO grain, are moved to fresh pasture each day, and are processed on the farm.

Hunger Moon Farm, Enosburg Falls - Certified Organic Pasture-raised chickens.

Maple Wind Farm, Richmond - Maple Wind sold out early last year of their pasture raised, non-gmo grain fed frozen birds, so reserve now!  Please place a deposit through the on-line form to hold a holiday turkey for pick up in Burlington on Nov 20 or in Richmond on Nov 21.

Vermont Cranberry Company, Fletcher - These local cranberries are the perfect seasonal accompaniment to your celebratory meals.

Markets and Co-ops

Butcher Barn, Westford - Find whole fresh local turkeys from Stonewood Farm in Orwell or from Misty Knoll Farm in New Haven, as well a fresh Carolina Brand turkeys.

City Market, Burlington - Get your fresh, local turkey from City Market. They have offerings from several Vermont farms! Pre-order by November 15 from Stonewood Farm in Orwell or Maple Wind Farm in Huntington; by November 16 from Misty Knoll Farms in New Haven; and by November 17 for Adams Turkey Farm in Westford. Prepared side dishes are also available for pre-order.

Craftsbury General Store, Craftsbury - The General Store serves as a pick up location for Hillside Farm/Pearce's Pastured Poultry which offers fresh, pasture-raised turkeys fed with non-GMO grain. They're even processed right on the farm!

Order Now → Order directly from Hillside Farm by filling out the Fall Turkey Order Form on their website, and select Craftsbury General Store as your pick up location. 

Edelweiss Mountain Deli, Stowe - The Deli is offering fresh, whole turkeys from Triple J Pastures ready for pickup (you prepare) or fully prepared by the deli. Whole turkey and prepared meals numbers are limited. Prepared meal options include all traditional sides, quiche, breads, pies and cookies.

Hunger Mountain Co-op - The Co-op has Misty Knoll Farms and Stonewood Farm turkeys for pick up Nov 21 -24.

Crossmolina Farm, West Corinth - In addition to fresh, pastured turkeys, Crossmolina also offers Thanksgiving shares (sold separately) with all the fixings for a truly local feast. Optional add-ons include wood fired bread, cheese, pies, and more! The Farm offers a few pickup locations in Central Vermont.

Graze and Gaze Farm, Barre - This Central Vermont family farm offers pasture-raised turkeys perfect for your special meals, as well as grass-fed beef, pastured pork, and free-range chicken.

Green Mountain Girls Farm, Northfield - Get your rotationally-grazed frozen turkeys at Green Mountain Girls Farm. This year's Broad Breasted Brown turkeys weigh in at 13-20 lbs.

Order Now → Order on-line by November 16 with this form to purchase a frozen turkey for the holidays, and order other holiday sides and small meals (eggs, potatoes, applesauce and breakfast sausage) anytime in the online shop. Pick up on Nov 19 - 20.

Misty Knoll Farm, New Haven - They have antibiotic-free chickens and turkeys available fresh and frozen straight from the farm. Sizes vary.

Alimentari Roscini (AR Market), Barre - Get your Vermont Salumi charcuterie and specialty cheeses for the perfect pre-holiday meal snack board. The Market also has hand cut steaks, fresh produce, prepared side dishes, wine, and pantry goods.

Brownsville Butcher & Pantry, Brownsville - Pre-order a whole Misty Knoll Turkey to prepare yourself or order prepared smoked or roaster turkey, a suite of Thanksgiving sides and pies galore, including apple, pumpkin and maple walnut.

Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op, Middlebury - The Co-op is offering fresh, local turkeys from Stonewood Farm in Orwell.

MKT: Grafton, Grafton - Enjoy a traditional pre-made Thanksgiving Dinner with a large selection of appetizers, sides and dessert.

Woodstock Farmers' Market, Woodstock - This unique fresh food market has you covered for local turkey (options include Stonewood Farm and Misty Knoll Farm and Hartland Farm), as well as a full spread of starters, entrees (stuffed acorn squash for the vegetarians!), side dishes, and pies (Woodstock only).

Upper Valley Food Co-op, White River Junction - Come into the store to pre-order a Misty Knoll fresh turkey!

Rebop Farm, Brattleboro - Rebop raises a limited quantity of pastured non-GMO turkeys. They're processed on the farm for your holiday meals! In addition, they have rabbit and chicken currently available.
