On the Menu at The Mounted Cat

May 14, 2014

It’s a beautiful time to explore the Burlington Bike Path that ambles its way along the shore of Lake Champlain, from the South End of Burlington all the way to Colchester. Now bikers can enjoy a scenic and tasty pit stop at the newly renovated Mounted Cat restaurant at the Hilton Hotel in Burlington. Cyclist amenities include covered bike parking, a fixed bike maintenance station complete with loaner tools and public tire pressure/inflation station, and complimentary water bottle fill-ups. As always, Chef Herve Mahe, will continue to source local ingredients (including an impressive line-up of local cheeses) to fill the hungry bellies of two wheeling explorers....

What local tap has the Mounted Cat team most excited?
Their new collaboration with Trapp Lager Brewery—Mounted Cat Lager!

The Mounted Cat teamed up with Trapp Lager Brewery to create their version of the “purrfect” Bohemian Pilsner that will be available exclusively at Mounted Cat. "Mounted Cat Lager is the hoppiest beer we've ever created. This partnership with Hilton Burlington is special because it has allowed us to expand our popular beer selection to include a unique Bohemian-style pilsner, which we feel Vermont locals are really going to enjoy," shared Trapp Brewmaster JP Williams. We recommend pairing the Pilsner with Chef Mahe’s Vermont Family Farms braised pork belly and butt in either Switchback or Cold Hollow Cider jus accompanied by homemade sweet pickled vegetables and apple salad.
