DigInVT is a collaborative project of 11 members-based Vermont food and farm organizations, designed to be a portal to authentic Vermont agricultural and culinary experiences. Our website offers a sophisticated tool for finding events, places to visit, trails to explore, and information about exploring Vermont's working landscape. Visitors can build their own itineraries, share favorite places, and subscribe to updates. It is a tourist and traveler focused site, drawing an audience from outside of the state, along with Vermonters traveling locally. 

The Vermont Fresh Network manages the site, with guidance from the DigInVT partner organizations.

Each year, in addition to managing the site, the Vermont Fresh Network helps coordinate special projects for The site is meant to offer a shared platform for all participating organizations to experiment with new marketing strategies. For example, for three years DigInVT has been the virtual home to the popular statewide Open Farm Week project that began with the Vermont Farm to Plate Network. In 2017 a Market Vermont grant from the Department of Tourism subsidized digital advertising for partners' signature summer events through the site. In 2017 we additionally featured Vermont escape packages with Edible Manhattan / Brooklyn / Long Island. In early 2018 we are launching an updated and upgraded website, after 6 years of managing the current platform. 

All Vermont Fresh Network members have access to being listed on, and promoted through, DigInVT. 

History of DigInVT

DigInVT began as a project of the Vermont Agriculture and Culinary Tourism Council.  The Council consisted of representatives from agriculture, culinary, and tourism organizations from the state of Vermont who are committed to promoting and preserving Vermont’s working landscape.  The purpose of the Council was to strengthen and support Vermont’s food and farm communities. They selected DigInVT as their first collaborative project because they believed that in order to support and strengthen Vermont’s food and farm communities, both visitors and Vermonters alike must be aware of the agriculture and food experiences available to them. The Council also recognized that by pooling information and resources, the organizations could create a sophisticated tool that presented the most complete picture of Vermont food and farm experiences available. The website first launched in 2011. The number of groups engaged in the project has grown, while the Vermont Fresh Network continues to serve as the lead organization maintaining the website.
